MoFo partner Gerardo Gomez Galvis has been selected as a 2025 Rising Star by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA). In its annual list, MCCA honors “exceptional attorneys who are blazing trails, demonstrating excellence, and shaping the future of the legal profession.”
Gerardo, a partner in the Investigations + White Collar Group at MoFo’s New York office, is recognized for his work in internal and government-facing investigations, global compliance, and white-collar defense—particularly in matters involving Latin America. He represents multinational corporations and financial institutions in high-stakes cases involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, anti-money laundering, securities fraud, and more. Gerardo has led complex investigations involving the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, as well as other regulatory and enforcement agencies around the globe.
Gerardo was born and raised in Colombia and is fluent in Spanish. His bilingual proficiency and deep understanding of Latin American legal systems have allowed him to bridge cultural and legal gaps, providing clients with comprehensive and effective legal solutions. Gerardo has also been instrumental in developing the firm’s Latin America Desk, a critical component of Morrison Foerster’s global practice.
The 2025 Rising Stars will be celebrated at MCCA’s Pathways Conference Awards Dinner on September 9, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
